Gathered in the open,
brought to your table.
A khalihaan is where a season's harvest is laid out, sifted and separated by hand. We build our food and drinks the same way — close to the source, out in the open, nothing rushed.
Every village once had one — a bare, packed-earth circle where grain was threshed, winnowed and sorted before it ever reached a kitchen. That's a khalihaan.
We named ourselves after it because that's still how we think about food: gathered close to where it's grown, handled by people who know the crop, and kept simple enough that you can taste where it came from.
We're starting small — a tight range of grains, pressed oils and fruit drinks sourced directly from farms we work with, packed without shortcuts.
Two shelves, kept honest.
We're launching with a focused range across food and beverages. Here's what's coming off the khalihaan first — see the full range for the complete list.
Food
Millets, cold-pressed oils, sun-dried spice blends and small-batch pickles, sourced grain by grain from partner farms.
Beverages
Fruit squashes, cold infusions and jaggery-sweetened drinks made in small batches, with nothing artificial to prop them up.
The way it's always been done, kept that way on purpose.
A threshing floor doesn't hide anything — you can see exactly what's being sorted. That's the standard we hold ourselves to.
Direct from farm
We buy straight from the growers we work with — no layers of middlemen between the field and the pack.
Small batches
We make in quantities we can actually stand behind, not warehouse-scale runs that sit around for months.
Nothing hidden
Short ingredient lists, plain labels. If it's in the pack, it's on the label — nothing more.
Seasonal by nature
Some things will come and go with the harvest. We'd rather that than fake year-round consistency.
Be first to know when we open the shelves.
We'll send one note when the first batch is ready to ship — nothing before that.
No spam. One email when we launch, that's it.
